Passiflora edulis (Passion Fruit)

Passiflora edulis (Passion Fruit), Aka Passion Fruit (US), Passionfruit (UK and Commonwealth), Purple Granadilla (South Africa) and Flor de Parcha (P.R.), Chinola, and Granadila, is a vine species of passion flower that is native to Brazil, Paraguay and northern Argentina. It has naturalised in the Caribbean, Central and South America, where it is cultivated for its juice. I have been waiting for some time now to finally find a Passion Fruit Vine with flowers, and I finally found one. Passion Fruit, or Flor de Parcha, is widely cultivated in P.R. for its juice. It is also cultivated in Africa, Southern Asia, Australia, Hawaii and the United States. These images were taken in south Florida.
